Healthy Wholesome Hearty Beef Stew
A great way to warm yourself up on a chilly winter day.
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups chicken broth
- 2 lbs cubed grass fed beef stew meat
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 3 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 turnip cubed
- 1 parsnip cubed
- 4 carrots, cut into 1 inch pieces
- 4 stalks celery, cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2-3 cloves of garlic chopped in small pieces
Directions
preparation time: 20 minutes
Slow Cook for 8-10 hours
In a large pot or frying pan, lightly sauté beef in oil over medium heat until brown and add to crock pot. Stir in potatoes, parsnips, turnips, carrots, celery, garlic and onion. Pour in tomato sauce, stir and let it slow cook on low overnight.
